Producers of plant products must comply with the rules of integrated and controlled crop production. This means, for example, that they
- Include beneficial organisms (e.g. predatory mites, lacewings) in the plant protection concept,
- Only use plant protection products with justification (the Use must be documented),
- not use growth regulators in cereal cultivation and
- may not use fertilisers containing sewage sludge on the entire farm.

Producers of animal products must comply with more extensive rules. This means, for example, that they
- only Fatten animals that were born in Baden-Württemberg or a neighbouring federal state,
- predominantly use feed from their own farm,
- Only purchase feed from authorised suppliers,
- document the purchase of feed in a traceable manner,
- only use feed that is not subject to GMO labelling,

- Carry out animal transport in accordance with animal welfare regulations.
