Household waste or residual waste includes solid, mixed waste that is produced during normal household management in private households. This also includes old medicines in normal household quantities.
This waste belongs in the household waste bin or residual waste bin.
Recyclable household waste such as paper and cardboard, packaging, glass, biowaste and green waste can be disposed of in the household waste binedisposed of separately.
The collection pointslthe collection points at the municipal and district recycling centres generally accept old electrical appliances.
Large appliances can be collected in connection with bulky waste collection.
Retailers are obliged to take back old electrical appliances with an edge length of up to 25 cm (from a sales area for electrical appliances of more than 400 m²).
The respective city or district determines the details of disposal via the household or residual waste bin such as frequency of collection, size of bins and prices.
