You must apply for inclusion in the "Register of Interpreters and Translators" at the competent office.
You can submit the application online or in writing.
The competent office will examine your application and, if the decision is favourable, will enter you in the register of the Regional Court of Stuttgart. A general swearing-in is not required. If the competent office rejects your application, you will receive a notice of rejection.
Note: Once you have been included in the register, the competent office will enter your data in the nationwide interpreter and translator database (DÜD). It will use the professional title customary in your country of origin. You can object to the publication in whole or in part.
You may only provide interpreting or translation services under the professional title customary in your country of origin.
